IB+A's design of this two-level private residence in the renovated historic Hales Warehouse features a highly contemporary interior that incorporates floor-to-ceiling
glass and beech partitions, custom lighting, granite and laminated glass counters, and a steamed European beech fireplace hearth and bench. The historic shell of the building is complemented by the contrasting contemporary renovation. Raw materials
(concrete, wood) are integrated with refined finishes (steel, polished concrete, granite, and glass) to add warmth to the industrial interior. The addition of a steel spiral stairway and penthouse provides access a private roof deck.
